The client wanted to replace dark cherry cabinets and create a larger island for more counter workspace and seating. The cabinets are custom quarter-sawn white oak with a natural stain on the perimeter and dark espresso on the island. A drop zone was created in the existing pantry closet, and the new pantry is now located in a nook off the kitchen which was not currently in use. Gold hardware, white subway tile, and new Wolf/Sub-Zero appliances complement the design. The existing oak flooring was sanded and restained.
